I have talked before about how easy it is to spy or violate other’s privacy using tools that can be found in markets or even in toy shops!
(press here and here)
Well, it seems that these stuff are emerging and becoming more sophisticated!
I found out recently about a spying “toy” that’s called Spykee!
This toy is basically a robot that is capable of taking pictures and movies that can be watched via the Internet either in real time or later on. You can even talk with whoever you’re spying on via Skype!
This robot would cost around $300, and just imagine how much evil stuff that you can readily do using it!
For further information, press here.
…………….
BTW, it seems that you can buy any thing via the Internet these days!
Even if you want to buy a camera belonging to the MI6 (the British equivalent of the CIA) which contains “images of al Qaeda suspects, fingerprints, names, rocket launchers, and missiles inside”!

Actually it’s a nice idea! Yes, it can be misused, but let’s be frank, anything can be misused. Communication and Entertainment industries produce tons of gadgets that are innovative and also misusable! Shall I begin listing them by mentioning the everywhere-mobile-phones’-cameras?
I admire toys that a young boy and girl can build by themselves and see the results. It ignites the idea factory inside their heads. Yes, we have a destructive environment for innovation, but we at least try our best.
I can imagine myself after years having this toy in my office when I have to work overtime in the office, to let my wife peek @ me and roam around the office
Thanks a lot for sharing!
I can imagine a commercial tour for a group of robots from different countries to a far-away island with free roaming for limited time.
I can imagine having a similar robot with larger scale to take my father who is blind to the mosque or to any nearby place when I’m sick at home.
I can write hundreds of ideas, non of them are violating the privacy!

Dear azure,
Many thanks for your comment mate.
First of, letting your wife peeking on you, is a huge privacy violation mate!
I totally disagree with you here. There are ‘thousands’ of ideas that are so creative and useful, yet they don’t form a serious threat to our privacy, to be discovered.
Please remember that there is always a ‘trade-off’, do we realllllly need such toy, reaaaally?
any answer but YES, should make us discourge developing such toys!
Ta!
